They don't have a formal name, but we just call them 'The Saturday Crew.'

Moment from the diner
Every Saturday at 7:15 AM, these four guys—Bill, Frank, Joe, and Mike—claim the large booth in the back. They've all been retired for years, and I think their Saturday morning catch-up is the highlight of their week. It's certainly one of mine.
"At the end of the day, a diner isn't just about the food — it's about the people on the stools next to you."
They talk about everything: the Cardinals, the neighborhood gossip, their grandkids, and how much the world has changed since they were kids. They've got their orders memorized (three Slingers and one Veggie Omelet for Frank, who's trying to 'eat better'), and they've always got a joke for whoever is serving them.
They're a reminder that a diner is more than just a place to eat. It's a place to connect, to laugh, and to feel like you're part of something.
